During fiscal year 2003, DeArmond Consumer Health Library in conjunction with Kootenai Medical Center sponsored a research study concerning senior literacy in Kootenai County. The study's scope is to estimate the Literacy level of the senior community pertaining to use of computers and of understanding ways to access and utilize quality medical information. As a result of these studies we at DeArmond have developed a series of web page that will help you gain access to medical information. The DeArmond Consumer Health Library is a partner in the Cooperative Information Network of Kootenai-Shoshone Area Libraries. Services of the library are available to anyone with a valid Kootenai County Library card. If you do not have a card, we will be happy to make one for you.
